Newcastle boss Eddie Howe urged calm after their defeat at Arsenal.
The Toon were hammered 4-1 on Saturday.
Howe later told Chronicle Live: "I don't think we are going to have time to be honest with you. It is Blackburn now and we have to turn our attention to that very quickly.
"I think I have to be very careful what I do with the players, always. How I communicate and how I get my point across. The players - the ones who have been fit have been magnificent this season in really challenging circumstances. To commit and do everything we have asked them to do, to keep going with challenging runs of form. We have always managed to have that spirit to come back.
"Arsenal was difficult but I thought we showed our character in the second half. Now we are going to have to show that again against Blackburn which is a huge game in our season."
