Eddie Howe is seriously interested in joining Celtic.

Howe has been unemployed since leaving Bournemouth last summer.

The Bhoys have taken their time appointing a replacement for Neil Lennon.

And they now have a serious candidate in Howe.

According to The Sun, the 43-year-old has begun his own research on the behind-the-scenes structure at Parkhead.

These has consisted of Howe contacting trusted friends who have connections with the Glasgow giants.

Howe is highly regarded after a successful eight-year spell with the Cherries, which saw the club punching above their weight in the top-flight.

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has also been linked with the vacant position.
