Chelsea legend Frank Lampard feels the game's top players deserve favours when taking their coaching badges.

Lamps, 38, now in his second season at New York City, reckons there should be a fast-track for players to get their coaching badges.

He told The Sun: “When you've played for your country or a lot of times at the top level, you have got to say to people 'instead of going down the media route, here is a great way for you to get your badges quickly'.

“And flood it with more young English coaches, with people who have played. No disrespect, but if you are a school teacher coaching kids you can't say you've got to do the same course as someone who has played 100 times or 50 times for their country."
