Burnley boss Eddie Howe watched his side claim a 3-1 victory over local rivals Blackpool in the npower Championship, then revealed he had no intentions of leaving the Clarets for the managerial vacancy at Portsmouth. He said: "I'm 100%t committed to Burnley, I am proud to be doing this job and I am proud I was asked to do it.
"I take it [the speculation] with a pinch of salt, I was always going to be here, that was never in doubt, I just laugh at it.
"I was surprised in the first half we nullified their threat completely. They came on strong late on but we managed to see that out as well.
"There is a lot more to come from individuals and the team. We need more consistency.
"There are a lot of lads who can put their hands up and say they were man of the match.
"I enjoyed the derby experience. Both fans were excellent but it pleases me.
"I think as a striker Charlie (Austin) will be kicking himself he didn't score more but he was in there to miss them.
"It was a great move, a great spot from Chris McCann (for his goal)."
