Houston Dynamo make two re-signings

Houston Dynamo have re-signed experienced duo Richard Mulrooney and Eddie Robinson after both had knee injuries last season.

31-year old defender Robinson missed the entire 2009 season but has been a key player in the past, playing in over 20 games each season from 2005 until 2008. He is a four-time MLS Cup winner (with San Jose in 2001 and 2003 and the Dynamo in 2006, 2007) and was in the 2006 All-Star team.

Mulrooney, a 33-year old defender/midfielder, missed the second half of last season and was the MLS Comeback Player of the Year in 2006 after recovering from a torn ACL. He has made at least 20 starts in league play in nine of his 11 MLS seasons, winning MLS Cup titles with the Earthquakes in 2001 and 2003 and the Dynamo in 2007.

Both players have been signed to standard MLS contracts and are expected to be available for the start of preseason training next week.
