Houston Dynamo chief wants Cameron's Stoke move to be sorted

Houston Dynamo president Chris Canetti is hoping that Geoff Cameron's proposed move to Stoke City will be completed soon.

The 27-year old American is the subject of an offer from the Potters but the Premier League club and Major League Soccer have yet to agree a fee.

Reports suggest that Stoke offered MLS around $1million to sign Cameron but the North American competition wants closer to $3million.

Regardless of this, Canettiis confident that a deal will be sorted so Cameron can realise his dream of playing professionally in the UK.

"I think (Monday is) a key day in determining whether or not the transfer is going to happen or not," Canetti said in the Houston Chronicle.

"We had a positive weekend where there were good discussions and both sides kind of understood what it's going to take to make a deal happen.

"We will share proposals and see if we can get closer to a deal."
