Houllier enjoys Man Utd spending swipe over Arsenal Lacazette deal

Former Lyon coach Gerard Houllier believes Arsenal signing Alexandre Lacazette will prove great business.

Houllier raised Manchester United's deal for Anthony Martial and their pursuit of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata when comparing Lacazette's signing.

He told talkSPORT: "He scored 37 goals this season. When you think that Anthony Martial was recruited 80 million euros and Morata is estimated at 90 million euros ... Morata did not score as many goals as Lacazette.

"Morata has played 136 matches and scored 47 goals.

"He is very mobile, very fast, good in small spaces, he has a good technique and scored goals. He is a modern player. He can attack and defend quickly."
