Honduran striker Costly to head back to Atlas following Houston Dynamo stint

Carlo Costly has confirmed that he will head back to Mexican club Atlas following his spell with Houston Dynamo.

The Honduras international spent three months with the MLS club which culminated in Sunday's MLS Cup final loss to LA Galaxy and he says that he will now return to Guadalajara for training with Atlas.

"I have one year left on my contract with Atlas," Costly told FutbolMLS.com. "I'm finished with the [Dynamo].

"I'm grateful for the opportunity they gave me, and next month I will be in preseason with Atlas."

As for his own performance during his time with the Dynamo, Costly indicated he wasn't at his best although a lack of opportunities contributed to that.

"In the beginning I was a starter and unfortunately it wasn't happening but I would give myself a 7 out of 10 [for his stay in MLS]. Adapting to the team cost me a little but I was here for a reason," he added.
