Holloway: Genius Milner better than Liverpool pal Keita

Former Premier League manager Ian Holloway believes Liverpool midfielder James Milner is outperforming teammate Naby Keita.

Milner retired from England duty in 2016 after playing just three minutes at Euro 2016, as the Three Lions crashed out to Iceland.

“He's had an England free summer," Holloway told the Daily Express.

“I think he's watched that World Cup thinking: 'I may not get picked for that but I can still help my team'.

“The bloke is a genius because he can play anywhere on the pitch.

“And it proves when you get older, you can get better. Just because you are getting older doesn't mean you are going to get worse.

“A lot of rich owners want value for money but senior ones give you value for money in a different way.

“They are invaluable in the dressing room. James trains like a trojan. He's so professional.

“Keeping Keita out as well, how well must he be playing."
