Hoffenheim defender Melayro Bogarde: Why I resisted Man Utd, Man City

Hoffenheim defender Melayro Bogarde admits he's had offers to move to England.

The Dutchman joined TSG from Feyenoord last year and has attracted serious enquiries from Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal.

But Bogarde says he's happy with his choice, the 17 year-old said: "I did not want to go to a club that only ever loans you.

"So I went to Hoffenheim because I know that I can become a professional here. They are a big club, they played in the Champions League last season."

Bogarde is the nephew of former Chelsea and Holland defender Winston Bogarde.
