Hoffenheim coach Nagelsmann: Nelson dropped for educational measure

Hoffenheim coach Julian Nagelsmann admits on-loan Arsenal midfielder Reiss Nelson has been dropped for discipline reasons.

Nelson was axed ahead of Hoffenheim's 2-1 victory over Nurnberg on Sunday.

Nagelsmann revealed after the match that his decision to omit Nelson was an "educational measure", to which Sport1 added that there were "obviously disciplinary reasons" behind his absence.

They said there was clearly no injury or performance concerns behind Nagelsmann's decision.

Nelson has struggled since the turn of year, failing to make a single start and featuring only four times.
