Hodgson: I learned a lot about West Brom players in Man City defeat

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson says he learned a lot from their defeat at Manchester City.

Albion were thrashed by City last night.

The Baggies remain in 13th place and are ten points clear of the relegation zone, with five games remaining.

And Hodgson is happy with his team's position at this late stage of the campaign.

"I'm still very confident we've done the hard work of staying in the league," he said. "The dogfight at the bottom doesn't concern us that much.

"And, let's be honest, how many teams have come to Man City this season and taken a point?

"The answer is one, Sunderland. We're just one of the 16 that have to go away empty-handed.

"I don't think we should lose too much sleep about that.

"I learnt a lot tonight. A lot about some players, about the team.

"Hopefully, we'll take all those experiences, albeit negative ones, forward into the coming games."
