Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has revealed Kenny Dalglish is involved in his transfer plans.

Hodgson is leaning heavily on Dalglish's know-how.

He said: "Kenny is doing a great job alongside us and we involve him in our scouting although he still works at The Academy and plays an ambassadorial role for the club as well.

"We have a chief scout but in particular I've taken an interest in player profiles. Many of the players we're watching are looked at by myself,

Sammy Lee, Mike Kelly and Kenny Dalglish.

"That's what Kenny is good at. You cannot find a better person for that at Liverpool than Kenny Dalglish."
