Crystal Palace are not discounting a shock return for long serving manager Roy Hodgson.
The veteran was let go at the end of the 2020/2021 season, with Palace looking to start fresh.
While there had been some promise under Patrick Vieira, the club's recent form meant that he lost his job on Friday.
Per The Mail, Palace chairman Steve Parish is assessing the available options.
Ex-club captain Paddy McCarthy will also get a chance to show he may be the one to replace Vieira permanently.
He will take charge of the team for the moment, but the club will be looking for a permanent boss in the background.
