Hodgson chatted with Palace pair Zaha, Ward after Man City shock

England coach Roy Hodgson made a beeline for Crystal Palace pair Wilfried Zaha and Joel Ward after their victory over Manchester City.

The Croydon Advertiser says Hodgson was on his way out of Selhurst Park pitchside when he approached Zaha first and then Ward.

Hodgson was believed to have been speaking to Zaha about going to this summer's U21 European Championships.

Ward has been tipped for an England call-up for the past year but has continuously been overlooked.

The former Portsmouth man made his 100th appearance for the Eagles against Manchester City.
