England coach Roy Hodgson is a big fan of Chelsea fullback Ryan Bertrand.
Hodgson has picked out Bertrand as a player he has high hopes for ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
"We are going to need to blood younger players by 2014," said Hodgson. "My hope is by blooding some of them early doors they will get the necessary experience during the period of time that we will qualify. And I'm hoping they will be good enough and ready to give it a good shot in Brazil.
"Ryan Bertrand is a good example. We could have left him out of this squad if everyone else was fit. We have players on the left.
"But we were keen to have Ryan with us because maybe in a couple of years he will play a bigger part. We do definitely think in those terms, but I'm not thinking beyond the World Cup. I'm thinking about qualifying and doing the best we can."
