Chelsea and Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle says Roy Hodgson must continue as England coach.
Hoddle wrote in the London Evening Standard: "I've always said I had unfinished business with England after my time in charge was cut short. In a multitude of interviews since our exit was confirmed on Friday, I have been asked many times whether I would have another crack at being England manager.
"I replied: "Who knows, who knows? but each time I made it clear that I believe Roy Hodgson needs to carry on.
"Managing England has always been the impossible job. When the results are great the players are the heroes, they win all the plaudits, but when it goes wrong, it's the fault of the manager.
"It would be a disaster if, in the face of mounting pressure, the Football Association got rid of Roy. He has a relationship with the players and has ideas how to build on that. I can see the media and the public wanting a change but the next guy would have the same players to work with."
