The Independent says Jagielka has overlooked the top-range sports cars associated with Premier League footballers and ordered himself an ultra-low emissions Vauxhall Ampera electric car.
Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville also runs an Ampera, as do Manchester United youngsters Nick Powell and Sam Johnstone.
