Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain was delighted to prove the matchwinner in victory over Deportivo La Coruna.

Higuain struck with two minutes to run.

"It was a difficult match, it was an uphill struggle for us from the first minute, but we had to demonstrate that we wanted to win and we were able to do that. This is a big squad and the manager does what he think is vest. The most important thing is to win and to keep earning points and now we have to prepare for the match on Tuesday.

"We are excited and we want to play because we know that in a week we are playing to stay in the Copa and the Champions."
