England and Ireland hero Sir Jack Charlton was given an emotional standing ovation ahead of the friendly between two nations in a sold out Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
The World Cup winner who also managed Ireland was the guest of honour as England returned to the Irish capital for Sunday's friendly.
Sir Jack Charlton was a part of the England squad that won 1966 World Cup. He also led the Republic of Ireland to their first ever World Cup in 1990, where they reached the quarter-finals before being knocked out by hosts Italy.
His achievements saw him granted honorary Irish citizenship 1996.
