Chelsea want Guus Hiddink to stay next season.
The Sun says Hiddink has been asked to stay on at Chelsea.
But it would be as director of football - NOT in his current role as manager.
Hiddink said: "There had to be a contract or my work in Chelsea would be impossible from a legal point of view.
"Yes, there is such a contract. It expires on May 31. They offered me to continue working for them after that date as a consultant."
Hiddink is currently back in Russia doing his other job - running their national team.
If he took up Chelsea's new offer the Dutchman would have an input on transfers and scouting.
He added: "I'll need to have a look at how the situation is going to develop.
"May be I can be useful for Chelsea in that role."
