Hibs boss Paatelainen tipping Hanlon for big things

Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen is tipping 18 year-old fullback Paul Hanlon as the next prospect to make an SPL splash.

He said: "He is very level-headed. He doesn't get fazed by big crowds although he is still very young. His football qualities are that he is aggressive, he is an okay passer of the ball but he needs to improve that.

"Overall he is a good defender. He is another young player who has come through our ranks and I hope he does well. We had a problem at left-back against Inverness in that Lewis Stevenson was out injured.

"We thought about who to play in that position.

"Paul had done well in training and I asked our reserve coach Garth Evans how he had done with the reserves, and he said he had done really well against seasoned Premier League players.

"He played and played really well and he is still strongly in the picture."
