Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is chasing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Armenia international has been linked with Arsenal this season, with a recent London visit sending the transfer rumour mill into overdrive.

BILD, however, says the Gunners face competition from Chelsea, where Conte is demanding Mkhitaryan's signing.

The Italian pushed hard to sign the midfielder while in charge of Juventus and remains a big fan.

Mkhitaryan poured fuel on the fire yesterday when asked about the Blues rumours.

Asked if he'd heard from Chelsea, the midfielder replied, with a reported wink: "I do not know..."
