Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey was delighted with his chance against Watford.
Hennessey was selected to start his first Premier League game of the season at Watford and kept a clean sheet.
"The gaffer pulled me aside on Saturday morning before the Watford game and it was nice to find out I was starting," he told the Croydon Advertiser.
"It was just a fantastic result and it was a pleasure to play in.
"Hopefully the games come for me. I've got qualifiers for Wales coming up so hopefully I can stay on board for Palace.
"For goalkeepers it probably takes around ten games to get into the flow of things, so the sooner I can get in – and stay in – the better it will be for Wales, too."
