Hellas Verona have made a move for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony.

The Ivory Coast international was expected to join Swansea City today.

However, Italian sources say Verona have made an approach to City about a loan deal for the striker.

Bony is open to a move to Serie A, but much will depend on City covering a large chunk of Bony's salary for this season.

Swans, meanwhile, need to sign Bony with Fernando Llorente on the brink of leaving.
