Hellas Verona goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini is ready to join Aston Villa.

The former Manchester United junior is set to sign for €5 million.

“I am very happy with this opportunity," 21-year-old Gollini told Sky Sport Italia.

“While I'm a little sad to be leaving Italy, this was a very important opportunity. I am going to a glorious club with a stadium that has 40,000 seats.

“I want to thank Verona for these two years. There were several sides interested, but Roberto Di Matteo really wanted me and I think this can be a great opportunity for me."
