The 27-year-old missed out on Ghana's run two years ago in Germany through suspension.

"Securing a place at the World Cup is a big task and we are driven by our qualification the last time," Kingston told www.ghanafa.org. "We want to reach the World Cup finals again.

"Every player wants to play at the World Cup and we would play to win every game in the remaining (qualifying) matches."

With two games remaining the West Africans currently sit top of Group Five in the qualifying campaign which will also determine which teams make it to the 2010 African Nations Cup finals in Angola.

He added: "We must seek to win the rest of the two games and top the group. The World Cup is the main target and we will strive to get through."
