Hearts defender Danny Wilson admits his time with Liverpool was "demoralising".
Wilson is on-loan at Hearts and will leave Liverpool when his contract expires in June.
He said: "I feel much better and a lot happier within myself now because I train all week and know there is an opportunity to play at the end of it.
"I wasn't doing that at Liverpool. I was training all week but I wasn't really getting anywhere.
"It was difficult but at Hearts I have the bonus of playing and that's what every footballer wants.
"When I wasn't playing at Liverpool, I just trained on the Saturday. I would go to the home games but you don't get the same feeling as playing.
"Is it demoralising? Yes. But these things happen. It's happened to better players than me.
"You don't enjoy it but you need to use it and make sure it doesn't happy to you again."
