Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin has suffered another huge injury setback.

The 24-year-old summer signing made only two appearances before injuring his thigh in August.

He was excited to comeback for matches next month, but the Ivory Coast international has now injured his Achilles in training.

The club issued a statement on Thursday that said: "Everyone at the club is devastated for JP and we will ensure he gets all the support he needs throughout this challenging time."

Gbamin will be sidelined for at least six months.
