Chelsea star Eden Hazard says that the Blues were deserved winners in their Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi scored for the Blues as they registered an unlikely win against the La Liga giants.

Following the game, Hazard said that he was delighted with the win in the capital city of Spain.

"We are very happy," he said. "It was a tough game against one of the biggest teams in Europe. We deserved to win the game.

"We are playing very well. We have quality in the team and we want to win every game. It was not easy today but we did it.

"Atletico Madrid defend well and both teams are strong at blocking the attackers.

"(Michy Batshuayi) scores every time he gets on the pitch! He is a top scorer so I am very happy for him. Alvaro Morata too."
