Part of the reason why Antonio Conte is no longer Chelsea manager is due to his relationship with the likes of Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard.

Chelsea do not want to lose their top players this summer. They want them to sign long term contracts to stay for the next five or six seasons.

But with Conte as manager, they feared it would not be possible, per the Daily Express.

It all started when he texted Diego Costa that he was no longer wanted last summer.

Then he alienated the likes of Willian, David Luiz, Hazard and Courtois over the course of the season.

The Blues could either back Conte and completely overhaul the squad - or get a new manager.

They will be appointing Maurizio Sarri to replace him imminently.
