Harry Redknapp has dismissed claims that he is set to replace Aitor Karanka as manager at Middlesbrough.

Boro are currently on the lookout for a new manager following the sacking of Karanka and reports have claimed that ex-Tottenham Hotspur boss Redknapp could be a shock contender to take over at the Riverside Stadium.

However, Redknapp has gone on to dismiss such claims and has categorically stated that he is not even in the running to replace Karanka.

The experienced manager said when asked on talkSPORT about the Middlesbrough link: "No chance. I'm not even in the running. Not a prayer."
