FC Copenhagen defender Brede Hangeland has welcomed interest from Newcastle United.
"I haven't heard anything myself, but Newcastle is a top club," said the 6ft 5in Norwegian, who has been capped 35 times by his country. "I've given my agent permission to look for a top club for me."
