Fulham defender Brede Hangeland has no problem playing injured for manager Martin Jol.

Hangeland believes players should always take to the field when asked by their manager.

Hangeland, 30, said: "As a general rule I think any player should respect his contract and if the manager asks you to play you should play.

"I try and play even when I shouldn't play because I'm injured. That's the way I feel about it."
