Alex Neill the Hamilton skipper has signed a two-year extension to his contract. The former Barnsley and Mansfield player was a driving force behind the club's promotion to the Scottish Premier League last season.

Hamilton chairman Ronnie MacDonald told the club's official website: "Alex is at the heart of what we're trying to do at the club and he's a massive player for us.

"We are thrilled to have secured his serves for a further two years."
