Reports suggest that New York Red Bulls are showing interest in Hamburg midfielder Ze Roberto.

bigapplesoccer.com reports that Red Bull soccer have re-ignited their interest in the 35-year old after Red Bull Salzburg monitored him last year when he was at Bayern Munich.

The former Brazil international signed a two-year deal with Hamburg in July 2009 but sources close to the Red Bulls suggest that the club is keen on attempting to lure him to MLS.

Besides Bayern and Hamburg, Ze Roberto has had stints with Portuguesa, Flamengo and Santos in Brazil, Real Madrid in Spain and Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.
