Didi Hamann has told Manchester City teammate Elano to shut his trap.

Elano heaped pressure on manager Mark Hughes last week after moaning about not being in the team.

And Hamann told the People: "We have to stick together. That is the way to get out of our current situation.

"Elano is entitled to his opinion and it is good that he wants to be playing.

"But if I have been in that situation my attitude has always been that I work and train and try to show the manager that he is wrong not to be playing me."
