Former Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres has joined Sporting CP.

The Sweden forward is set for a £22 million move to the Portuguese giants from the Championship club.

Gyokeres has been one of the most prolific scorers in England's second division over the past two years.

While he was touted for a move to the Premier League, he appears to have settled on Sporting.

The attacker may believe that at 25, he is best suited to getting regular game time and excelling in Portugal.

He can then plan the next move of his career, which may take him to England's top flight.
