Danny Guthrie says Newcastle United are going to Manchester United at the ideal time tomorrow.
Guthrie, a former Manchester United academy and Liverpool player, returns to the Theatre of Dreams confident Newcastle can at least repeat the 1-1 draw they earned in their opening fixture of the doomed 2008-09 season.
Guthrie said: "I made my debut on the first day of the season and it went very well that day.
"Hopefully, we can get a similar result but not have a similar season.
"We went there without any fear. We relished the challenge and that is what we have to do again.
"For me going to Old Trafford is about excitement. No disrespect, but our last away game was Plymouth. The next one is Manchester United so we must enjoy it.
"It is a good time to play them. They won't be firing on all cylinders.
"I think we can get a result again, I really do. We have to be brave and express ourselves."
