Danny Guthrie will hold contract talks with Newcastle United in the summer he has confirmed.
The 24-year old defensive midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season but will put off discussions of a new deal until the current campaign is over.
"We're just waiting to see what happens.""I'm just scheduled for talks. Come the end of the season, my agent will be in touch with the club, or vice-versa," he told the Newcastle Chronicle.
Guthrie did indicate, however, that he was keen to stay settled with the Magpies.
"On a personal note, my form's been really good. I've had a couple of injuries, but I've managed to stay fit for a while now and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.""Look at the way the club's gone this season - I'm really happy," he added.
