Danny Guthrie has no regrets swapping Liverpool for Newcastle United.
Before yesterday's 5-1 thrashing, Guthrie told the Sunday Sun: "Even though Liverpool was my club, I couldn't stay there playing 10 games a season. It's not enough.
"You can either stay or try and push your career on, and that's what I decided to do. It kills me not to play.
"Rafa Benitez said he thought it'd be a good move for me to go to Newcastle because I wasn't going to play as much as I wanted at Liverpool. He wished me all the best and he was great.
"I have total respect for him - he's a top manager who always told you things straight."
