Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola is ready to sell Mario Gotze this summer.

BILD says Guardiola has given up on the midfielder, after trying him in no less than six positions in recent months.

Bayern are now ready to circulate his name around Europe ahead of the summer market.

Manchester City and Liverpool are among European giants monitoring Gotze's situation.

However, Germany team manager Oliver Bierhoff argues: "I would just say that I think it is beneath contempt that everyone complains about Mario. He is an unbelievably professional player with us and is insanely busy.

"He is a very young player but has already made great progress. If there are moments where it's not going so well, it is quite normal. I am convinced that he will succeed in Bavaria."
