Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola is launching a raid on Atletico Madrid for Diego Godin.
AS says Bayern sporting director Michael Reschke is due in Madrid for talks with Atletico about a price for the Uruguay defender.
Guardiola has lost Javi Martinez for the season due to a knee injury, while he is unconvinced by his central defensive pairing of Jerome Boateng and Dante.
The Bayern boss has decided on Godin as the player to boost his defensive options and Reschke has been posted to Spain to open talks with Atletico for the defender.
Godin's buyout clause in his Atletico deal is set at €36 million.
