Guardiola swiftly eyes Bundesliga title as Bayern Munich miss Champions League chance

Pep Guardiola says Bayern Munich will forget about their Champions League disappointment in order to secure the Bundesliga title this coming weekend.

The German giants are out of the Champions League after losing to Atletico Madrid on the away goals rule despite a 2-1 victory at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night.

Alteti's 1-0 first leg win at home last week, doubled with Antoine Griezmann's away goal, was enough to deny Bayern the chance to play in the final in Milan on May 28 but Guardiola feels it is a situation where his players could no more as he looks ahead to Saturday's trip to Ingolstadt where a win will see them crowned German champions for the fourth successive season.

"We did everything we could," said Guardiola after a dramatic second leg.

"We will still be sad tomorrow, but the day after, we'll begin preparations for Ingolstadt."

Regarding what's ahead for Bayern, after failing to achieve success in Europe with the Bavarians, the Spaniard added: "There is a big future with this team and with this mentality."
