Pep Guardiola agrees that expectations at Manchester City are enormously high because of his past success.
The Spanish tactician achieved remarkable success at past clubs Barcelona and Bayern Munich, which inevitably brings with it an anticipative air in the Premier League.
But City were beaten 4-0 by Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday which has them under extreme pressure some 10 points behind league leaders Chelsea.
Asked if this is the most testing time of his managerial career, Guardiola played down such suggestions but admitted that his past achievements had prompted high expectations.
"No. I would say the exceptional situation was in the past," he said.
"When you have eight years as a coach and you win seven titles and you're always winning - that is the exceptional situation.
"I have to look for the best solution to take the players to winning games again."
Asked further if he was enjoying his time in England with City, Pep added: "I'm so happy in Manchester.
"Of course, I prefer to win than to lose but I'm so happy.
"The way I will try to do it, until my last day, is to find the best way possible to achieve what I think is the best way to play."
The defeat was City's fifth in the league this season which sees them sitting fifth on the table behind Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and of course, Chelse
