Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was key to Thomas Tuchel landing the PSG job this summer, it has been revealed.
Tuchel succeeded Arsenal boss Unai Emery at PSG after the end of last season.
Le 10 Sport says PSG made contact with Guardiola last year about replacing Emery, but the Catalan gave the approach short shrift.
However, Guardiola did raise Tuchel's name in the discussions, championing the German's ability after facing the former Borussia Dortmund coach when in charge of Bayern Munich.
Tuchel would eventually take the PSG job after Emery's departure had been confirmed.
