Griffiths hits out at Newcastle over rumours

Newcastle Jets defender Adam Griffiths has hit out at the club after rumours were spread about him making a move to FC Seoul. Griffiths has already agreed to join new A-League franchise Gold Coast United next season but his contract with the Jets doesn't expire until the end of June.

It has been reported that Jets owner Con Constantine still wants to sell the 29-year old to an Asian club but Griffiths has stated that it's all nonsense.

"For Newcastle, I don't know what type of lies they've been telling everyone....it's all a load of crap. I'm sick and tired of it," Griffiths told Fox Sports.

"It's really difficult to concentrate on playing football when you've got people making stupid comments constantly. It's doing my head in. It's a bit of a circus.

"It's 100 per cent certain that I'm going to the Gold Coast and I'm looking forward to it."
