Esteban Granero says QPR's players, not Mark Hughes, are to blame for their dismal start to the season.

Granero is begging QPR's seething supporters to halt their bitter Twitter tirades against his beleaguered boss.

And instead blame him and his blundering teammates for Rangers' current crisis.

The midfielder said: "We're the ones who have to improve because the manager is great."

Saturday's latest defeat left Rangers rooted to the bottom of the table but the 25-year-old added: "We all support the manager. We know he's the best manager we can possibly have.

"Most of the losses, for sure, are not his fault. It is OUR fault - the footballers' fault."
