Granada striker Nolito admits he regrets leaving Barcelona.

Nolito faced his old club on Saturday.

"(Pep) Guardiola told me he counted on me for next season, he asked me to stay but I had already signed for Benfica. It was too late. It hurt me to leave," said Nolito.

"Sometimes I think about why I left, but I was 24. At that age I could not spend more time waiting for the odd chance. I was older and was in the reserves. If I had been 20 or 21, I would have stayed."
