Departing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze is facing a pay-cut to join AC Milan.
While he's being linked with a move to England, Milan have also been mentioned as a destination.
The Rossonero are keen with former Hoffenheim coach Ralf Rangnick due to arrive this summer.
Calciomercato.com says Rangnick has approved Gotze's signing, but his current €8m salary will not be met by the Rossoneri.
Götze will have to take a pay cut to move to Milanello in a deal worth between €2.5m to €3.5m a year.
